Richard is a Registered Social Worker who specializes in and passionate about 2SLGBTQ+ mental health and holistic well-being. Richard earned his Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University (previously Ryerson) and Masters of Social Work degree in Mental Health and Health stream from the University of Toronto. Richard has over 10 years of experience in community and hospital/clinical settings. His areas of expertise are 2LGBTQ+ sexuality and gender identity formation, coming out and negative experiences with culture and community, body image, sexual health, substance use and abuse, and non-monogamous or polyamorous relationships.

Guided and influenced by his lived experience as a racialized gay man, Richard’s eclectic therapy approach is grounded in anti-oppression, queer affirming and inclusion.
